POSITION: BUILDING SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS (5)

LOCATION: PENNCREST HIGH SCHOOL

EFFECTIVE DATE: 2026/2027 SCHOOL YEAR

COMPENSATION: KELLY EDUCATIONAL STAFFING - $150.00/day

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Bachelor’s degree. Any active and valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certification in Special Education PreK-12 or PreK-8. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of staff, administrators, students, parents, and the general public; ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations; ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional program; ability to plan and implement lessons based on district and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents; skill in oral and written communication.

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to hear (maximum of 40 decibels loss); see with near acuity of 20 inches or less and far acuity of 20 feet or more; ability to sit for extended periods; subject to inside environmental conditions.
