Qualifications

• Masters degree preferred; Bachelor's degree will be considered.
• Experience with physical and communication disabilities preferred.
• Certification in SPED is a plus.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage during teacher absences and support classrooms as assigned.
• Deliver instruction using established lesson plans, adapting activities to meet individual learning needs.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and structured classroom environment promoting student engagement and independence.
• Follow students' IEPs and established support plans with guidance from staff.
• Collaborate with classroom assistants, therapists, and other team members to support continuity of instruction.
• Support students throughout the school day, including transitions and activities as needed.
• Communicate observations and updates to teachers and staff regarding student progress and concerns.
• Respond flexibly to changing assignments while maintaining positive relationships with students and staff.
