Job summary

Clark Nexsen, a JMT Company, has an immediate opening for a talented structural engineer to join our firm. The engineer will work on a wide variety of building projects including commercial, municipal, state and federal structures along the East Coast.

The salary range is $90,000–$115,360, commensurate with experience. The role covers design from initial framing layouts to construction administration, requires a strong technical background, and the ability to work in a collaborative team

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited engineering program.
Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
4+ years of experience in building/facility structural engineering.
Proficient in design codes and software for structural steel, concrete, masonry, timber.
Experience in design and production of construction documents.
Knowledge of Revit or willingness to learn.
Exposure to RAM, ETABS, SAP2000 or related programs.
Understanding of building materials and construction processes.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Work within a multi-discipline design team to support structural engineering efforts.
Perform framing layout, design calculations, and detailing for reports and construction documents.
Develop construction documents using Revit.
Design projects per client specifications with design software and drawing tools.
Prepare engineering documents for advertisement and construction.
Coordinate with internal and external team members to meet deadlines and quality standards.
