Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) is seeking a skilled non-journey craft maintenance worker to perform a variety of repair and control tasks within the physical plant. The role emphasizes independent judgement while collaborating with professionals in a team approach.

The 1.0 FTE position runs Monday–Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM at the West Allis Campus, with rotating weekends as needed. MATC offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to contribute to campus safety and operations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Five years of experience in building maintenance and repairs.
Experience with air handling and related equipment.
Valid Wisconsin driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Inspect, repair, and/or modify laboratory, shop, or physical plant equipment.
Operate and maintain boilers, valves, pumps, and related equipment.
Program and schedule building control systems that manage fire, lighting, and HVAC.
Lead departmental meetings and assist with evaluations and training.
