The Building Services Technician I is responsible for keeping the campus well maintained and cleaned to a high standard. Duties include general building maintenance, cleaning and arranging classrooms for scheduled events, proper disposal of trash and recycling, and operating machines and equipment. This position is entry level and requires the use of basic skills acquired through prior work experience.
Reports to: Building Services Supervisor
The hiring salary for this position will be from the min to mid-point of the salary range advertised. This position is open until filled.
The work is medium work which requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Exposure to a variety of industrial hazardous/toxic chemical cleaning agents. Prolonged standing and exposure of adverse weather conditions year-round.
