Responsibilities

  • Performs usual office routines and practices associated with a productive and smooth-running office.
  • Maintains such student records as shall be required.
  • Maintains daily/weekly staff attendance log and arranges for substitutes.
  • Places, receives, and routes incoming phone calls by answering questions according to school policy, taking messages for staff, and paging authorized personnel.
  • Greets visitors courteously, determines their needs, and directs or escorts visitors to proper person.
  • Maintains an organized work station.
  • Receives, sorts and delivers incoming mail.
  • Assists teachers in preparing instructional materials as requested.
  • Inventories office/teacher supplies.
  • Operates office equipment efficiently.
  • Types a variety of material including correspondence, reports, notices, etc.
  • Maintains a regular filing system and files materials based upon the practice of the office.
  • Assigned duties to and supervises work of office clerks/volunteers.
  • Handles student registration/transfer.
  • Counts monies and prepares deposits.

JOB OVERVIEW:
  • To assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school office
  • To contribute to effective school-public relations
  • To complete the detail and written work and to coordinate matters essential to efficiency and effectiveness of the Principal/Associate Principal/Assistant Principal
QUALIFICATIONS:
