Job summary

Slipstream is seeking a Building Science Specialist to perform home energy assessments, diagnostic testing, and quality control inspections, while delivering technical training. This role supports a hybrid work model with travel across Wisconsin and surrounding states.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, at least three years of related experience, and certifications (BPI; HEP Energy Auditor; QCI) or the ability to obtain them after hire; strong communication and building

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum of three years work-related experience.
• Basic proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
• BPI; HEP Energy Auditor; QCI certification required or ability to become certified upon hire.
• Ability to perform diagnostic testing and analysis related to home energy assessments, quality control inspections, and training.
• Knowledge of the Department of Energy Weatherization Assistance Program.
• Ability to travel throughout Wisconsin and surrounding states on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality control residential field site visits
• Deliver technical training
• Assist or lead the development of technical training and support materials
• Complete diagnostic testing of buildings and equipment analyzing results
• Provide information for review of data and monthly reports
