Job summary

CLEAResult is seeking a Building Science Analyst to act as the program's technical expert, performing desktop verifications and guiding trade allies in building science practices. You will train participants, ensure adherence to DOE and state standards, and communicate technical guidance effectively.

The role requires strong building science knowledge, 5+ years of industry experience, and the ability to obtain BA-P certification within 60 days.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Bachelor's in Building Science or related program preferred
  • Strong knowledge of building science and applications required
  • BA-P certification required or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, mathematical, and documentation skills; meticulous attention to detail
  • High school diploma
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Salesforce experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Energy Star, AHRI, BPI Standards, and NREL Standard Work Specifications a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ensure program designs reflect actual installation guidelines and minimums for measures in applicable markets.
  • Develop technical training materials and conducts training for internal and external participants.
  • Serve as organization technical spokesperson; approves technical communication and representation to partner programs, clients, regional technical forums/boards.
  • Delivers trade ally training.
  • Understands evaluation risks and develops and communicates strategies.
  • QC complex measure and modeling runs.
  • Develop protocols for interpretation of specifications, guidelines, manuals, and technical requirements.
  • Provide building science adjustments to measures from contractors.
  • Ensure program designs reflect program installation guidelines.
  • Serve as a technical spokesperson to customers and contractors alike.
  • Deliver trade ally guidance and training.
  • Evaluate and understand project risks.
  • Assist in documenting observations regarding project scope, planning and effectiveness of products and services.
  • Assist in developing protocols for interpretation of specifications, guidelines, manuals and technical requirements.
  • Review documents for technical accuracy and sound building science practices.
  • Attend and participate in required program meetings and training courses.
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing work environment.
  • Time and schedule management skills are a MUST.

Job Description

The position is remotely based in Michigan. We are looking for a talented individual to join the team as a Building Science Analyst! The Building Science Analyst acts as a program's technical expert. This includes conducting desktop project verifications, ensuring Trade Ally adherence to the program, Department of Energy, and any additional state standards, providing guidance and training to participating trade allies, and using building rating and energy modeling tools.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience required (eg. HVAC, electrical, residential construction, building maintenance, general contracting, etc.)
  • Bachelors in Building Science or related program preferred.
  • A strong knowledge of building science and building science applications is required.
  • BPI Building Analyst Professional (BA-P) certification or the ability to obtain a BA-P certification within the first 60 days of employment is required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, mathematical, and documentation skills; meticulous attention to detail.
  • High school diploma.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Knowledge with Energy Star, AHRI, BPI Standards, and NREL Standard Work Specifications a plus.
Pay & Benefits
  • Target Compensation: $61,500-$70,000
DOT Requirements

If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.

Compensation Range

Compensation Range $59,500.00 - $89,200.00 Currency USD Type Salary Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example. CLEAResult will not provide sponsorship or support for immigration status or work authorization including for international students. Applicants must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without the need for employer sponsorship or support. Successful hires must pass pre-employment checks.
