Job summary

North American Slate is seeking an energetic sales professional to join our team in the Southeastern region, driving growth across GA, NC, SC, VA, and TN. You will identify prospects, build lasting partnerships, and manage the full sales lifecycle from initial contact to close, including post-sale support.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of outside sales experience, preferably in construction, with a willingness to travel up to 50% and travel to client sites

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field.
• Three years of outside sales experience required (construction-related preferred).
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and cover Southeastern region states (GA, NC, SC, VA, TN).

Responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new customers and build lasting partnerships.
• Meet contractors, suppliers, and architects and negotiate within pricing/contract terms.
• Manage entire sales lifecycle from prospecting to close and post-sale account management.
• Provide regular leadership reporting and forecast project pipelines.
• Estimate, quote, and analyze costs to price slate products competitively.
• Maintain leads and coordinate logistics for territory management.

Job description

Join the sales team at North American Slate, the American subsidiary of Rathscheck Schiefer, one of the leading international producers of premium quality slate roofing and products for the design of aesthetic living spaces.

Responsibilities:

• Identifying and prospecting new customers building relationships that create lasting partnerships.
• Meeting contractors, suppliers, and architects while effectively negotiating within the provided framework as it relates to pricing flexibility, acceptable contract terms and any potential concessions achieving sales objectives.
• Managing the entire sales life cycle from prospecting to deal close.
• Providing consistent reporting to leadership for current and future sales and project oversight.
• Accurately provide project sales forecasting and monitoring of pipeline projects to reach sales targets.
• Managing leads within assigned territory, sending information and samples, coordinating logistics.
• Estimating, quoting and analyzing costs to strategically sell offered slate products in a competitive market.
• Ongoing account management including lead generation, qualification, product presentation, negotiation, closing the sale and post-sale account management.

What we are looking for:

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Field of Study Preferred: Sales, Marketing, or a related field

Required Work Experience: Three years of business outside sales experience, preferably construction-related

Travel Requirements: 50%

What we provide:

$65,000 to $100,000 highly competitive base salary coupled with bonus remuneration based upon sales target achievement.
