Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of janitorial equipment, tools, and materials.
• Bi-Lingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Mix water and detergents or cleaning chemicals to prepare cleaning solutions.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners.
• Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors; steam clean or shampoo carpets.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment or supplies using manual methods or hand trucks.
• Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, or parking areas.
• Monitor building security and safety; lock doors after operating hours.
• Service, clean, or supply restrooms; gather and empty trash.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
