HDR, Inc. is seeking a Building Mechanical/HVAC Engineering Intern to support our engineering team on a variety of projects.

You’ll gain real-world experience while applying standard engineering techniques under supervision, and connect with peers and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs. The role is ideal for students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering program with strong attention to detail and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support our building mechanical engineering team with a variety of projects.

  • Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs.
  • Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Building Mechanical/HVAC Engineering Intern, we'll count on you to:

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
  • Demonstrated knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid dynamics principles.
  • Preference given to local candidates
Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
  • Attention to detail
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
