Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate degree in business field preferred; or GED with 1 year of related sales experience.
• Familiar with building material industry or construction/contracting experience.
• Strong familiarity with technology including Microsoft Office and POS/inventory systems.
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail; ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as internal salesperson at the counter, delivering high customer service and satisfaction.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Enter new customer data and sales data into the database.
• Make outbound follow-up calls via telephone and email.
• Handle inbound sales leads and convert to sales.
• Resolve customer complaints via proper channels.
• Provide product demonstrations upon request.
• Prepare quotes, terms, and sales orders.
• Estimate delivery and resolve delivery issues.
• Assist in stocking, inventory, and cycle counting.
• Prepare reports on business transactions.
• Attend branch meetings and product training.
