Job summary

Parr Lumber Company in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Delivery Assistant to support the Delivery Driver in moving materials from the warehouse to job sites, while upholding safety and service standards.

You'll load/unload materials, follow delivery procedures, take photos of shipments, and maintain clean equipment and yard; the role requires lifting up to 90 lbs and strong English communication. This is a full-time, on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Open and transparent communication.
• Familiarity with GPS devices or map applications.
• Able to read a tape measure.
• Knowledge of building materials.
• Ability to speak, write, and read English.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload building materials from a commercial motor vehicle.
• Travel to destinations via public and private roads.
• Complete mileage and fuel usage reports.
• Demonstrate on-time and in-full deliveries.
• Take photos of delivered shipments after each delivery.
• Maintain truck, yard, and vehicle cleanliness.
