Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years building material knowledge and sales experience preferred.
• Strong math, calculator, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers, answer questions, and assist with merchandise location, pricing, and promotions.
• Process customer sales at the register and receive payment according to procedures.
• Provide initial responses to inquiries on product selection, pricing, quotations, deliveries and installations.
• Assist with product selection for showroom customers and maintain consistent records of selections.
• Purchase special products and obtain pricing/specifications.
• Attend training and meetings to increase knowledge of products.
• Create accurate invoices, work orders, and sales tickets; input data into the system.
• Issue refunds or credits with manager approval when necessary.
• Maintain showroom appearance and stock levels; ensure cleanliness and organization.
• Operate forklifts or company vehicles after training as required.
• Assist with yard and warehouse operations, including stocking and receiving.
• Perform location-specific services as needed (keys, paint, glass).
