Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Facilities Maintenance role responsible for the upkeep of the facility, equipment, and grounds, including warehouse cleaning and sanitation across dry, cooler, and freezer areas. The position supports the Facilities Manager with repairs, modifications, and safety compliance to ensure efficient product flow.

Duties include operating pallet jacks and power equipment, completing scheduled custodial tasks, and assisting with maintenance projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6–12 months building maintenance experience in warehouse/production.
• Pallete & forklift operator certificate or training.
• Experience in sanitation and janitorial work preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs and/or assists the Manager / Supervisor, Facilities with the maintenance, repair, replacement, adjustments and modification of the facility, equipment and the outside grounds according to a set schedule and in emergency and non- emergency situations while observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Performs general janitorial, cleaning and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned. May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles. May be required to work with cleaning chemicals. Follows all safety rules and completes all duties as assigned per business need. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities

• Review work schedule, perform safety check on equipment, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations.
• Perform building and grounds maintenance and general upkeep duties as needed.
• Assist Facilities Manager and other personnel with installations, modifications, adjustments and replacements of tools equipment and any other maintenance projects as assigned.
• Maintain warehouse, operate power equipment to sweep, wash warehouse floors, aisles, clean-up spills, remove trash and debris.
• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines. Reports any and all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates. Is certified to operate all required equipment.
• Perform scheduled custodial duties, paint, scrape, power wash and other projects as assigned, fill and maintain the cardboard baler.
• Perform light maintenance (e.g., change light bulbs, unstop toilets, clean carpets, duct work, set-up conference rooms, etc) as needed.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday (Days off Friday & Sunday)

6:30 am to 3:00 pm

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED

6 - 12 Months Building maintenance experience in warehouse and / or production environment. As well as general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience. Pallet & Forklift operator certificate.
