Job description

Akkodis is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician for a contract-to-hire position with a client in Wilton, CT. This role involves performing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility equipment.

Note: Shift: 3rd Shift – Mon to Fri, 6:00 pm to 6:00 am (2/2/3)

Rate Range: $24/hour to $31/hour; negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Building Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

1. Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment, including measuring wear and replacing expendables.
2. Complete repairs on HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other equipment.
3. Document maintenance activities and work orders in the CMMS.
4. Conduct general building repairs, such as wall, door, and floor repairs and painting.
5. Diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment, including transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures.
6. Maintain building lighting, task lighting, and electrical distribution systems.

Desired Qualifications:

1. 5-7 years of mechanical experience, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
2. 3-5 years of maintenance experience.
3. Valid driver’s license.
4. Ability to read and understand instructions and communicate effectively with customers and clients.

Pay Details: $24.00 to $31.00 per hour
