Job summary

Fedtech, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on capital equipment and facility systems in Saint Paul, MN. You will support production staff by troubleshooting and repairing equipment to keep daily operations running smoothly.

• Provides operational support and repairs for equipment like forklifts and backhoes.
• Conducts electrical and HVAC installations and repairs.
• Maintains facilities, coordinates with subcontractors, and implements improvements.
• Assists with large capital installation/repair projects and special facilities tasks.
• Coordinates repair plans, orders parts with FileMaker, and informs management of issues.

Job description

Responsible for performing repair and preventative maintenance to shop equipment and building facilities. Responsible for documenting all maintenance and repairs, keeping adequate parts stock and building supplies. Provides support to production staff in troubleshooting and repairing equipment and building maintenance to keep the day-to-day operations performing.

Essential Functions

• Performs and manages preventative maintenance and repairs on all capital equipment. Includes operational support.

• Performs electrical and HVAC installations and repairs.
• Maintains company facilities including areas of structural and equipment issues. Performs repairs, works with subcontractors.
• and provides improvement recommendations as needed.
• Supports and assists with large capital installation and/or repair projects.
• Assists management with special repair, maintenance, facility projects.
• Keeps management informed of important developments, potential problems, areas of concern related to the facilities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Two years of post-secondary education with an emphasis HVAC, plumbing, electrical etc. or equivalent work-related experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, organizational and analytical skills.

Physical Demands

• Lift 50+ lbs. repeatedly and frequently throughout an 8-to-10-hour day.
• Work while standing for an entire shift. Work while standing for a full shift.
