Job summary

Christian Theological Seminary is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, and equipment under supervision. The role supports electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and related systems, handling preventative tasks and timely repairs.

Responsibilities include assisting the Maintenance Manager, completing special projects, identifying safety issues, and ensuring compliance with facility operating procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical wiring.
• Maintenance of hand tools and gas-powered equipment.
• Effectively use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Able to perform a variety of physical labor including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for long periods of time.
• Possess a valid driver's license.

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, performs a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, and equipment. Performs related duties as assigned.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assists in general maintenance and preventative maintenance of all facility needs to include electrical, mechanical, machine and plumbing.
2. Performs any general maintenance activities as requested by the Maintenance Manager.
3. Completes special projects as requested by management.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
