Job summary

Fedtech Inc. in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for performing repair and preventative maintenance on shop equipment and building facilities, documenting all work, and supporting production staff.

Essential duties include PM and repairs on capital equipment (forklifts, backhoes), HVAC/electrical installations, facility upkeep, coordinating repair plans, and using Filemaker for parts orders.

Qualifications

• Two years of post‑secondary education with an emphasis HVAC, plumbing, electrical etc. or equivalent work‑related experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, organizational and analytical skills.

Job description

Responsible for performing repair and preventative maintenance to shop equipment and building facilities. Responsible for documenting all maintenance and repairs, keeping adequate parts stock and building supplies. Provides support to production staff in troubleshooting and repairing equipment and building maintenance to keep the day-to-day operations performing.

Essential Functions

• Performs and manages preventative maintenance and repairs on all capital equipment. Includes operational support.

• Maintains company facilities including areas of structural and equipment issues. Performs repairs, works with subcontractors.

• Keeps management informed of important developments, potential problems, areas of concern related to the facilities.

Minimum Qualifications

Physical Demands

• Lift 50+ lbs. repeatedly and frequently throughout an 8‑to‑10‑hour day.
• Work while standing for an entire shift. Work while standing for a full shift.
