Job summary

Fedtech, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain shop equipment and building facilities.

You'll document maintenance and repairs, manage parts stock, and support production staff in troubleshooting to keep daily operations running smoothly. Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance on capital equipment, supporting large installation projects, coordinating repair plans, and using Filemaker to order parts and manage supplies.

Qualifications

• Able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Two years of post‑secondary education with an emphasis HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or equivalent work‑related experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs and manages preventative maintenance and repairs on all capital equipment.
• Includes operational support for equipment such as forklifts and backhoes.
• Performs electrical and HVAC installations and repairs.
• Maintains company facilities and coordinates repairs with subcontractors.
• Provides improvement recommendations as needed.
• Supports and assists with large capital installation and/or repair projects.
• Keeps management informed of important developments and potential problems.
• Coordinates and communicates plans and schedules for repairs.
• Uses Filemaker to order parts and supplies for machinery and building.

Job description

Responsible for performing repair and preventative maintenance to shop equipment and building facilities. Responsible for documenting all maintenance and repairs, keeping adequate parts stock and building supplies. Provides support to production staff in troubleshooting and repairing equipment and building maintenance to keep the day-to‑day operations performing.

Essential Functions:

• Performs and manages preventative maintenance and repairs on all capital equipment. Includes operational support.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.

Physical Demands:

• Lift 50+ lbs. repeatedly and frequently throughout an 8‑to‑10‑hour day.
• Work while standing for an entire shift. Work while standing for a full shift.
