IronRoad is conducting a confidential search for a full-time hourly Building Maintenance Technician ($23.00 - $25.00 per hour based on candidates' skill & experience) focused on Building Maintenance for a Property Management Company. This is a direct hire position serving the Cincinnati & Dayton, Ohio area. We seek an individual who takes ownership of each client call and provides excellent customer service, with a positive attitude that clients and team members appreciate. Providing correct solutions promptly is a top priority!

Regular attendance during normal working hours is required, with occasional work beyond 40 hours per week and overtime paid.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 3+ years' experience in general building maintenance, equipment maintenance, or construction.
• Customer-service oriented — essential, as this role involves daily client interactions.
• Proficiency with Outlook
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally (Dayton & Cincinnati) in a company vehicle
• High School diploma or equivalent; courses/workshops related to property and building maintenance are a plus.

No direct supervisory skills required; however, candidate must demonstrate ownership of assigned properties and ability to coordinate with vendors and contractors to resolve issues.

Tasks:

Physical Maintenance:

• Complete maintenance requests via work orders
• Change HVAC filters and light bulbs
• Address plumbing issues and minor leaks
• Perform basic electrical repairs
• Read meters for gas, water, irrigation, and generators
• Maintain cleanliness around the property, assist contractors, and support snow removal as needed
• Perform light carpentry and monitor medical gas systems

Inspections:

• Inspect building exteriors, common areas, mechanical rooms, and safety systems
• Assist with annual fire and sprinkler inspections, elevator checks, and backflow tests
• Ensure safety and cleanliness in equipment rooms

Full-time position with pay range of $23.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on skills and experience. Benefits include 401(k).
