Bourns, Inc. in Barrington, IL is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to support our Barrington campus operations, ensuring tenant comfort and quick response to facilities issues.
The role covers preventative maintenance on equipment, basic electrical and plumbing tasks, and general facility improvements while upholding safety and quality standards. A High School diploma and 1–3 years of related experience are required; valid driver’s license is a must.

The Building Maintenance Technician performs a wide variety of general maintenance duties at the Barrington campus. The position is highly customer focused, requiring quick response to tenant requests and equipment failures to ensure that the operations and comfort of the building tenants are never jeopardized.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated ability to perform the listed functions effectively under minimal supervision. One to three years of related work experience. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Familiarity with MS Office, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Power Point, familiarity with the operation of maintenance related tools and equipment
Must possess oral skills to clearly present information to management, coworkers, and tenants.
Must be able to prepare emails using clear and understandable terms.
Building maintenance related tools and equipment, including forklifts and aerial lifts as well as computers and related office equipment.
$55,000 - $60,000 annually $26.44 - $28.85 hourly
