Job summary

Wesley Woodlawn Hospital & ER is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician in Wichita, KS to keep the hospital's physical plant safe, reliable and welcoming for patients and staff. You will perform inspections, repairs and preventive work across multiple trades to support 24/7 operations.

Strong communication, organization and customer service are essential as you respond to emergencies, participate in safety programs and collaborate with hospital teams. A Kansas driver’s license is required.

Job Summary and Qualifications

**As a Building Maintenance Technician in our Hospital, you will support the mission of our Hospital by optimizing the quality of life of our patients. Your duties will include (but not limited to):**

• Performs the general inspection and repair procedures necessary to maintain the physical and structural plant in safe operating condition and aesthetically pleasing.

• This work requires knowledge and experience in a variety of crafts and trades.

• Identifies opportunities for continuous improvements of processes and systems/services on an on -going basis.

• Able to read and speak English

Qualifications:

Knowledge and Skills: Effective communication, knowledge of occupational hazards, safety precautions, material safety data sheet, and infection control procedures.

Experience:Previous experience in plant operation and maintenance

Special Qualifications: Must have a telephone, available transportation, and be able to respond to work immediately in case of an emergency. Must be available for on-call flexible shifts and long working hours in emergency situations

**Licensure/Certification/Registration:Must have a valid State of Kansas Driver’s License with no stipulations and be insurable to operate the company vehicle **
