Job summary

Wesley Woodlawn Hospital & ER in Wichita, KS seeks a Building Maintenance Tech to support hospital facilities and patient care environments. You will perform inspections, repairs, and routine maintenance across the physical plant to ensure safety and aesthetics within a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The role requires experience in plant operation and a KS driver’s license, with on-call flexibility for emergencies and extended shifts as needed.

• Must be able to respond to work immediately in case of an emergency.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Building Maintenance Technician in our Hospital, you will support the mission of our Hospital by optimizing the quality of life of our patients. Your duties will include (but not limited to):

• Performs the general inspection and repair procedures necessary to maintain the physical and structural plant in safe operating condition and aesthetically pleasing.
• This work requires knowledge and experience in a variety of crafts and trades.
• Identifies opportunities for continuous improvements of processes and systems/services on an on -going basis.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills: Effective communication, knowledge of occupational hazards, safety precautions, material safety data sheet, and infection control procedures.

Experience:Previous experience in plant operation and maintenance

Special Qualifications: Must have a telephone, available transportation, and be able to respond to work immediately in case of an emergency. Must be available for on-call flexible shifts and long working hours in emergency situations

Licensure/Certification/Registration:Must have a valid State of Kansas Driver’s License with no stipulations and be insurable to operate the company vehicle
