Qualifications

  • Plumbing license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain equipment and buildings per manufacturer, code, and insurance requirements.
  • Inspect maintenance jobs and adjust staff habits as needed.
  • Develop and update standards, procedures, and policies.
  • Develop training programs and provide opportunities for growth.
  • Attend workshops and communicate with peers at other Intrawest properties.
  • Recruit, schedule, coach, and evaluate staff performance.
  • Coordinate with departments and contractors to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Perform all prescribed maintenance and service on equipment per requirements.
  • Complete maintenance logs and records.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions to minimize downtime.
  • Inspect and test equipment and buildings during operations.
  • Maintain historical maintenance records and documentation.
  • Document all work orders for billing purposes.
  • Notify management of safety or guest experience concerns.
  • Follow Snowshoe contracts with homeowners associations and the Snowshoe Rental Program.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Maintains maintenance requirements, quality, and company reputation by ensuring that all state and federal regulations, insurance and manufacturers requirements on maintenance performed on equipment, buildings and properties are adhered to. Ensure that staff is aware of all current code requirements for maintenance performed.

  • Inspect maintenance jobs regularly and have staff adjust work habits when necessary.

  • Assist in the establishment of standards and procedures, measuring results against standards, and make necessary adjustments by writing and updating policies and procedures as needed.

  • Assist in the development of training programs. Provide information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities for subordinates.

  • Attend educational workshops, read technical publications, read current code changes and communicate with peers at other resorts and sister ITW Resorts.

  • Assist in the recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, scheduling employees, as well as coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

  • Completes projects by overseeing crews working on projects. Coordinates with other departments or contractors to ensure work flows smoothly.

  • Work closely with property owners, property managers, and other departments to resolve maintenance issues in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

  • Perform all prescribed maintenance and service on all equipment following manufacturers’ requirements, federal and state requirements and insurance requirements.

  • Complete all required maintenance logs and records

  • Troubleshoot malfunctions quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.

  • Assemble and test machines to verify correction of malfunction.

  • Inspect all equipment and buildings by observing, monitoring and adjusting equipment during operations.

  • Maintain historical records by ensuring that all maintenance information on all equipment and systems is recorded in compliance with company requirements.

  • Recording and documenting all work performed.

  • Complete, in detail, and turn in all work orders so that proper billing can be achieved.

  • Monitor and test equipment regularly and make aware the supervisor or manager when abnormalities are noted.

  • Refer to equipment technical manuals to ensure proper procedures are followed and proper settings are maintained.

  • Notify manager of any conditions or occurrences that may adversely affect the safety of operation or the quality of our guest experience.

  • Follow the terms of the contracts and agreements that Snowshoe maintains with individual homeowners’ associations and individual homeowners’ through the Snowshoe Rental Program.

  • Check inventory levels and notify supervisor or manager of any supplies needed. Ensuring staff are returning parts to correct location in shop.

  • Maintain technical and professional knowledge by reading trade publications, attending trainings, workshops, and communicate with peers at other Intrawest properties. Read and understand operational manuals, employee handbook and manufacturer manuals.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Experience:
  • 5 years of experience
