Maintenance Technician Position Overview:
SVN | Wood Properties is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team. This key role is essential to ensuring our properties are well-maintained and safe for tenants and clients. You will be the face of the company, interacting with tenants, vendors, and the public, and embodying our core values of grit, servanthood, and trustworthiness. As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform a wide range of maintenance tasks that directly contribute to the quality and functionality of our properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general upkeep tasks.
• Conduct regular property inspections alongside management to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
• Complete maintenance requests and manage work orders using a mobile phone app.
• Respond to emergency situations, following building protocols during or after hours.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as lighting checks, roof inspections, drain cleanouts, plumbing checks, and filter changes.
• Monitor the condition and status of vacant spaces to ensure they are ready for tenant occupancy.
• Purchase and track supplies using a purchase order system, keeping accurate records of inventory.
• Collaborate with property managers to address tenant requests and property needs, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance procedures (plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of systems and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and colleagues.
• Team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
