Job summary

Fairfield Inn Tallahassee North 1/10 is seeking a courteous, detail-oriented maintenance engineer to oversee the property’s upkeep, ensure safety, and keep equipment running smoothly for guests. You’ll implement preventive maintenance, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with staff to maintain a five-star experience.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Tend to all equipment and perform preventive maintenance routines
• Stay in contact with coworkers and departments and respond to emergencies outside regular hours

You'll be in charge of overseeing the property’s overall upkeep and carrying out routine processes to make it fully functional, pleasurable, and safe. Responsibilities

• Create an available channel of communication between you and other staff, including managers and department heads
• Maintain all of the hotel's equipment and preventative maintenance plans
• React to emergencies that happen before, during, and after your regular work shifts
• Observe all engineering safety rules and criteria
• Operate various tools like wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, drills, and other maintenance equipment
• Tend to all of the hotel's equipment and conduct preventive maintenance routinesWork with a variety of tools, hammers and screwdrivers, indicators and edge finders, drills, wrenches, and other maintenance tools of the tradeStay in constant contact with co-workers, managers, and other departmentsRespond to emergencies that occur outside of regular working hoursObserve all engineering safety rules and criteria

• Valid driver’s license and good driving record required

• Applicants must have 2-4 years of experience in maintenance
• Good knowledge of computer software; preferably facilities management software
• Driver’s license and an outstanding driving record are necessary
• Must have strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• 2-4 years of maintenance experience is required for this role
• This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED
• The ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. or more is required

Compensation

$17 - $19 hourly
