Job summary

Fairfield Inn Tallahassee North is seeking a courteous, detail-oriented maintenance engineer to ensure the hotel's facilities remain safe and fully functional, delivering a five-star guest experience.

You will oversee preventative maintenance, respond to emergencies, coordinate with staff, and use a range of tools and software to keep equipment in excellent condition. The role can be full-time or part-time with hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and an outstanding driving record.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• 2-4 years of maintenance experience is required for this role.
• High school diploma or equivalent GED.
• The ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. or more is required.
• Good knowledge of computer software; preferably facilities management software.

Responsibilities

• Tend to all of the hotel's equipment and conduct preventive maintenance routines.
• Work with a variety of tools, hammers and screwdrivers, indicators and edge finders, drills, wrenches, and other maintenance tools of the trade.
• Stay in constant contact with co-workers, managers, and other departments.
• Respond to emergencies that occur outside of regular working hours.
• Observe all engineering safety rules and criteria.
• React to emergencies that happen before, during, and after your regular work shifts.
• Create an available channel of communication between you and other staff, including managers and department heads.

We're looking for a courteous, detail-oriented maintenance engineer to provide our guests with a five-star experience. You'll be in charge of overseeing the property’s overall upkeep and carrying out routine processes to make it fully functional, pleasurable, and safe.

Compensation: $17 - $20 hourly
