Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Southeast Michigan is seeking a Building Maintenance Associate to manage day-to-day facilities upkeep and scheduled preventive maintenance for assigned buildings, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for tenants and staff, and supporting a responsive, service‑oriented culture.

The role requires 3–5 years of related experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and a valid unrestricted driver’s license, with on‑call availability for 24/7 emergencies

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day maintenance and preventive maintenance for assigned buildings (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roof).
• Coordinate inspections and testing of fire protection systems and equipment.
• Respond to tenant work orders and complaints in a timely manner.
• Be available and/or on-call for 24/7 emergencies.
• Report problems or deviations to supervisor promptly.

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is looking for a dedicated Building Maintenance Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and scheduled preventative maintenance programs for assigned buildings. Accountable for ensuring that the buildings are well maintained and provide tenants a comfortable and safe environment. A solid customer service philosophy towards tenants is paramount.

What You'll Do:

• Ensure scheduling and/or completions of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and roof preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Ensures timely response to and completions of tenant work orders and complaints.
• Coordinates proper inspections and routine testing of fire protection systems and equipment.
• Reports problems or discrepancies to supervisor in a timely manner.
• This position requires availability and/or on-call status for 24/7 for emergencies.

General Requirements:

• EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE: Valid, unrestricted driver’s license
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years’ previous experience in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
