Job summary

Trinity Health Highland Haven/Meadowview Independent Living Senior Communities in Highland, MI, seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician. The role covers plumbing, electrical, HVAC and general maintenance with a 247 on-call requirement and a day shift (7:30–4).

The candidate will perform inspections, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safety and code compliance while maintaining records and coordinating with vendors. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing, electrical and HVAC maintenance.

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Highland, MI, who is experienced in general maintenance, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC.

This position is a 247 on call position.

Monday - Friday 7:30 - 4 pm shift

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and some general grounds maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential problems.
• Ensure compliance and safety and building codes.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory.
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of equipment and fixtures.
• Work with external vendors on getting appropriate bids for larger scale projects.
• Assist with ordering general supplies needed for the maintenance department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent technical certification in maintenance or related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of team.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
