Job summary

CBRE is offering a full-time, permanent apprentice role as a Maintenance Technician Apprentice in Baton Rouge. The program spans 1 year of training, with hands-on preventive maintenance and basic repairs across building systems and grounds.

Under supervision, you will support carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, HVAC, and other trade tasks while learning safety and compliance. You will follow codes and company directives, participate in mentorship, and maintain records of

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Ability to interpret instructions and follow safety procedures.
Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office Outlook.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

Follow applicable codes, regulations, and safety guidelines for building operations.
Engage in training, mentorship, and development activities.
Perform general labor tasks and complete maintenance and repair records.
Assist with fixing and repairing buildings and installed systems (lighting, plumbing, kitchens, roofs, drains, HVAC) under supervision.
Maintain professional appearances of the property and spaces.
Assist with office access and moves by handling crates, furniture, keys, and nameplates.
