J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to oversee ongoing maintenance and repair of our facilities.

The role covers HVAC, plumbing, drywall, painting, and general building repairs, with proficiency in hand and electrical tools. Expect outdoor work and shifts that may include nights or weekends to meet operations needs. Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED, or enrolled in a technical program.
• Ability to work outdoors and across multiple shifts including nights/weekends if needed.
• Basic installation and repairs across plumbing, HVAC, electrical and custodial areas.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems in the building.
• Calibrate instruments and tools required for job responsibilities.
• Maintain fire, carbon monoxide, smoke and other safety systems within the structure.
• Evacuate building in the event of an emergency.
• Maintain corporate safety procedures and compliance with access control.
• Work with tools and supplies necessary to complete projects.
• Receive and respond to tenant reports of mechanical or maintenance issues.
• Communicate with facilities management about work needing outside expert assistance.

Duties can vary from day to day and a maintenance schedule may be implemented so time management skills are required. Building Maintenance Technicians need to have a good knowledge of building skills including HVAC, plumbing, drywall installation, painting, and general building repair. Also, the incumbent will need to be adept at using a variety of hand and electrical tools. This position has the possibility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification

• Minimum 18 years of age and a high school diploma or GED, or currently enrolled in a technical degree program in good standing, and up to 3 years of general building maintenance experience; ability to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed
• Capable of basic installation and repairs to plumbing, HVAC, electrical, custodial, and other areas as needed

The expected starting pay range for this position: Competitive ranges available

Compensation

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
