Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to oversee ongoing maintenance and repair of our facilities.

The role covers HVAC, plumbing, drywall, painting, and general building repairs, with proficiency in hand and electrical tools. Expect outdoor work and shifts that may include nights or weekends to meet operations needs. The position emphasizes time management, multitasking, and safety, with opportunities to advance through our Technician Career Advancement program.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED, or enrolled in a technical program.
• Ability to work outdoors and across multiple shifts including nights/weekends if needed.
• Basic installation and repairs across plumbing, HVAC, electrical and custodial areas.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems in the building.
• Calibrate instruments and tools required for job responsibilities.
• Maintain fire, carbon monoxide, smoke and other safety systems within the structure.
• Evacuate building in the event of an emergency.
• Maintain corporate safety procedures and compliance with access control.
• Work with tools and supplies necessary to complete projects.
• Receive and respond to tenant reports of mechanical or maintenance issues.
• Communicate with facilities management about work needing outside expert assistance.
