Job summary

Aoka is hiring a Building Inspector to oversee construction projects, ensure safety, and enforce code compliance on-site in Dallas, TX. You will review plans, coordinate with contractors and local authorities, and produce clear reports while contributing to ongoing training and company initiatives.

Ideal candidates hold ICC certifications and a Texas TSBPE Plumbing Inspector License, with at least two years in building inspections and strong knowledge of codes and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in building inspections.
• Current ICC certifications; Texas requires TSBPE Plumbing Inspector License.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety standards.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting construction plans.
• Organized record-keeping and willingness to learn new inspection software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction projects to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, codes, and safety standards.
• Review project documents, attend pre-construction meetings, and coordinate with contractors and local authorities.
• Maintain detailed records and prepare timely, professional reports.
• Address questions and concerns from clients and contractors, providing expert guidance.
• Participate in training and company initiatives.
