The City of Rocklin is seeking a personable, technically skilled Building Inspector with a strong understanding of building codes and construction practices. The ideal candidate communicates clearly with contractors and the public, and is passionate about safety and quality in construction.
Combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities. Education may not fully substitute for experience unless specified.
Building Inspector I: High school diploma; plus two years of experience as a general contractor or in building trades with public contact.
Building Inspector II: High school diploma; plus two years of experience in building inspection or code enforcement at a public agency.
