Job summary

The City of Boulder is seeking a qualified Building Inspector to enforce adopted codes and review plans for construction projects in the city.

Under supervision, you will inspect structures, verify compliance, and provide testimony in enforcement actions. Candidates must hold Colorado Journeyman/Master Electrician License and ICC Commercial Combination Inspection Certification, with a valid driver’s license and a background check required.

Responsibilities

• Notifies applicants and contractors of violations and re-inspects when needed.
• Maintains logs of inspections and plan reviews.
• Testifies in court cases involving code violations.
