Job summary

The City of Novi, Michigan is seeking a skilled Building Inspector to join our team. You will perform inspections on building construction and renovation to ensure compliance with established standards and ordinances, codes, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Minimum 10 years of field experience.
• Registered Building Inspector with the State of Michigan under Act 407.

• Proven ability to build strong working relationships with coworkers and the public.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized inspection work on building construction and renovation to ensure compliance with codes, rules, and regulations.
