Job summary

Salas O’Brien is seeking a Mid-level Mechanical Engineer to design HVAC systems for new facilities, additions and renovations in Bloomington or Rochester, MN, on a hybrid schedule. You will lead technical work, develop construction drawings, and coordinate with clients and consultants.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of building design experience and an EIT. Proficiency with Revit training is available and experience with Trace 700/IES is valued.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on building design experience.
• EIT certification or active status.
• Knowledge of HVAC system design and codes/standards.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and lead projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC system designs for various project types.
• Provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems.
• Perform load/energy calculations using Trace 700/IES.
• Prepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies.
• Provide construction administration services.
