Job summary

UPS Healthcare seeks an Engineer with financial modeling experience to support the Capital Management Committee. The role involves creating business cases, evaluating projects, and presenting alternatives for funding approvals.

You will work with cross-functional teams to perform feasibility studies and financial analyses (ROIC, IRR, Payback) and monitor capital expenditures. The position is on-site in Louisville, KY, with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, logistics, MBA or related field preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese - Preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Financial acumen and understanding of metrics such as NPV, ROIC, IRR, and Payback Period - Required.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Excel (incl Addins including Power Query) and Power BI - Preferred.
  • Understanding of data structures, algorithms and model evaluation.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience with emerging AI technologies to integrate AI systems into workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Creates business cases and collaborates with various functions and leads reviews with key stakeholders.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to conduct feasibility studies and financial analyses (ROIC, IRR, Payback).
  • Evaluates projects for procedural compliance and accuracy, while reviewing requirements and discrepancies with project owners.
  • Submits and presents project alternatives and makes recommendations to the Capital Committee.
  • Balances multiple projects to meet stakeholder goals and expectations.
  • Monitor and track monthly capital expenditures, prepare and distribute reports, analyze data for trends and discrepancies, reconcile reports with budgets.

Job description

The UPS Healthcare Building & Facilities Team is a global support function. The role supports the Capital Management Committee through gathering requests, evaluating projects, and providing alternatives and recommendations for capital funding approvals. Seeking an Engineer with financial modeling experience.

Additional Information:
  • Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself - Required (not remote)
  • Two possible locations
  • Job Level: Supervisor
  • Work Schedule: M-F, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
