Job summary

Thomas Young Group is seeking an experienced Building Envelope Consultant to join our engineering team. You will conduct building envelope assessments and field investigations across diverse projects.

The role involves working with facade, roofing, waterproofing, and restoration, preparing technical reports, and coordinating with clients, contractors, and architects. A strong background with 4+ years and licensure toward EIT/PE is preferred, plus excellent communication and field readiness.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Building Envelope Consulting, Restoration, Architecture, or Engineering.
• Experience with facade, roofing, waterproofing, or enclosure assessments.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• EIT, PE, RA, or licensure in progress preferred.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.
• Comfortable working in the field and directly with clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct building envelope assessments and field investigations
• Support facade, roofing, waterproofing, and restoration projects
• Prepare technical reports and repair recommendations
• Carry out site visits and construction observations
• Assist with forensic investigations and building performance evaluations
• Work closely with clients, contractors, architects, and engineers
• Support project delivery, budgeting, and client communication
