Job summary

Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates is seeking an experienced Building Envelope Division Manager to lead and grow our Building Envelope Consulting and Testing practice. You will provide technical oversight, manage projects, and lead staff while developing client relationships across the Mid-Atlantic region.

The role oversees roofing, air barriers, waterproofing, exterior walls, and fenestration systems, coordinating inspectors and specialty subcontractors for testing and field performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Building Science, or related field required.
• Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for building envelope consulting, inspection, and testing projects.
• Review project docs, specs, shop drawings, and field reports for compliance.
• Develop inspection protocols, testing procedures, and reporting standards.
• Lead recruitment, training, and supervision of building envelope personnel.
• Establish goals, metrics, and growth strategies for the division.
• Coordinate testing programs and engage subcontracted testing consultants.
