Job summary

Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates (HCEA) seeks an experienced Building Envelope Division Manager to lead and grow our Building Envelope Consulting and Testing practice. This role provides technical oversight, project management, staff leadership, and client development across roofing, air barriers, waterproofing, fenestration, and exterior wall assemblies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Building Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in building envelope consulting, inspection, testing, or enclosure commissioning.
• Experience supervising technical staff and managing project teams.
• Experience coordinating and overseeing field performance testing programs and specialty testing subcontractors.
• Proven ability to develop client relationships and contribute to business growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and quality assurance for building envelope consulting, inspection, and testing projects.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects from proposal through project closeout.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and staffing plans.
• Monitor project performance to ensure technical quality, profitability, and client satisfaction.
• Coordinate project activities with owners, architects, contractors, developers, and other stakeholders.
