Job summary

Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates is seeking an engineering or architecture professional with building sciences expertise to perform envelope diagnostics, roof/fenestration assessments, and related design and repair work. The role supports project teams and helps grow the building enclosure practice.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Building Envelope, Roofing, Facilities, and/or Waterproofing consulting experience.
• Degree in architecture, engineering, or building sciences is preferred.
• IIBEC or ABAA certifications are a plus; working knowledge of building enclosure systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform building diagnostics, including envelope assessments, roofing and fenestration testing.
• Assist with design construction documents for roof replacement and enclosure refurbishment.
• Develop technical reports, presentations, and content adhering to quality standards.
• Support business development and client relations for building enclosure services.
