Job summary

NOVA Engineering & Environmental in Kennesaw, GA is seeking an entry-level to mid-level Building Enclosure Technician to join our Building Envelope Consulting team.

This field-based role provides hands-on testing of roofing, waterproofing, glazing, curtain walls, and exterior walls on commercial projects, together with QA inspections, forensic investigations, and performance testing. Valid driver’s license required and some travel may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years experience in building enclosure related fields.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing of roofing, waterproofing, windows, curtain wall, storefront, facade and other building enclosure systems.
• Conduct performance testing per ASTM, AAMA, ANSI, TAS and industry standards.
• Assist with water infiltration testing, air leakage testing and QA evaluations.
• Observe construction activity and verify compliance with specs and manufacturer requirements.
• Evaluate workmanship and installation practices for roofing, waterproofing, glazing, and exterior walls.
• Travel to project sites across GA and surrounding states; occasional overnight travel.
• Document findings with field notes, photos, testing records.
