Job summary

Boston College seeks a Construction Building Envelope Manager to lead capital construction projects in support of the Annual Capital Plan. You will oversee planning, design and construction, report progress and budgets using PMWeb, and coordinate internal teams and external contractors to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires experience with roofs, façades, drainage, and building envelope systems, strong knowledge of regulations, and the ability to manage multiple projects with

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in architecture, engineering or construction management.
• Experience with financial and project management/control systems, such as PeopleSoft, CAD, and PMWeb.
• Bachelor’s Degree in construction, architecture, engineering or related field.
• Ability to access all areas of construction sites including climbing ladders to assess conditions and perform inspections.
• Prepare written and graphic presentations.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital construction projects supporting the Annual Capital Plan through all phases from planning, design and construction.
• Develop design and construction documents with BC stakeholders including Facilities Management.
• Maintain quality communications with BC Departments and project stakeholders; report schedule, progress and budget control using PMWeb.
• Ensure roofs, façades, drainage and envelope components are inspected, documented, maintained and repaired per institutional priorities.
• Coordinate internal teams and external contractors and design consultants to meet schedules and budgets.
