Job summary

La Vida Llena in Albuquerque seeks a Full-Time Building Engineer Lead to support operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems while guiding the maintenance team. You will lead daily maintenance, inspect and repair electrical, plumbing, mechanical and access control systems, and coordinate vendors and safety compliance.

Minimum five years in engineering or related trades with strong communication and problem-solving skills are required.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in engineering, maintenance, HVAC, MEP, or a related skilled trade.
• Advanced trade certifications, HVAC certification, or Universal Recovery License preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire life safety, and building systems maintenance.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with experience using Microsoft Office, CMMS, BAS, and EMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily maintenance operations, assign work orders, support scheduling efforts, and provide training and guidance to team members and subcontractors.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical, plumbing, mechanical, access control, and other building systems throughout the community.
• Perform advanced preventative maintenance and corrective repairs while assisting with quality control and project execution.
• Coordinate vendor and subcontractor activities, estimate material needs, and ensure compliance with safety standards and building regulations.
• Respond to community alarms, emergency calls, and facility issues while supporting a safe and welcoming environment for residents.

We are seeking a Full-Time Building Engineer Lead to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems while providing leadership and technical guidance to the maintenance team.

What You'll Be Doing

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 annually, DOE
