Job summary

The Building Engineer at ABM US in New Orleans oversees the operation of facility services in mission-critical environments. You will be the primary ABM contact for daily operations, ensuring HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems run smoothly and safely.

You will also handle maintenance and repair of hard surfaces, basic carpentry and metalwork, manage work orders, respond to customer service requests, and support site leadership in sustaining high facility performance.

Job description

The Building Engineer holds full responsibility for the management and operation of facility services within mission‑critical environments. Serving as the primary ABM point of contact for daily operations, this role supports site leadership in overseeing all building systems, including HVAC, mechanical, and electrical infrastructure. Key responsibilities include maintenance and repair of hard surfaces, basic carpentry and metalwork, and the operation and upkeep of facility system equipment. The Building Engineer also handles customer service requests, manages work orders, and performs additional duties as assigned.

Compensation: $23.06 - $36.24 per hour pay rate (U.S. Dollars)

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Schedule: Monday - Friday from 7:00AM - 4:00PM OR 8:00AM - 5:00PM CST, will include after hours and/or weekend work when needed
