Job summary

ABM US is seeking a Building Engineer to oversee facility services in mission-critical environments. You will manage HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems and coordinate maintenance, repairs, and safety protocols.

You will lead a team of Critical Facility Technicians, Assistant Chief Engineers, and external contractors to ensure 100% uptime and drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. This is an overnight position.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of hard surfaces, basic carpentry and metalwork.
• Operation and upkeep of facility system equipment.
• Handle customer service requests, manage work orders, and coordinate tasks for the site.

Job description

The Building Engineer holds full responsibility for the management and operation of facility services within mission-critical environments. Serving as the primary ABM point of contact for daily operations, this role supports site leadership in overseeing all building systems, including HVAC, mechanical, and electrical infrastructure. Key responsibilities include maintenance and repair of hard surfaces, basic carpentry and metalwork, and the operation and upkeep of facility system equipment. The Building Engineer also handles customer service requests, manages work orders, and performs additional duties as assigned.

This role is instrumental in fostering a culture of safety and reliability, building and leading a team of Critical Facility Technicians, Assistant Chief Engineers, and external contractors to achieve 100% operational availability. A strong emphasis is placed on continuous improvement, staff development, and operational excellence.

Pay:$33 per hour

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’sexperience, skills, abilities, geographic location,and alignment with market data. This is an overnight position.
