Job summary

ABM Industries Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer to manage and operate facility services in mission-critical environments. You will oversee HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems and coordinate maintenance as the primary ABM contact for daily operations.

You will handle customer requests, manage work orders, perform basic carpentry and metalwork, and contribute to the upkeep of all building systems. The schedule is Monday–Friday with occasional after-hours or weekend work as needed.

Job description

The Building Engineer holds full responsibility for the management and operation of facility services within mission-critical environments. Serving as the primary ABM point of contact for daily operations, this role supports site leadership in overseeing all building systems, including HVAC, mechanical, and electrical infrastructure. Key responsibilities include maintenance and repair of hard surfaces, basic carpentry and metalwork, and the operation and upkeep of facility system equipment. The Building Engineer also handles customer service requests, manages work orders, and performs additional duties as assigned.

Compensation: $23.06 - $36.24 per hour pay rate (U.S. Dollars)

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Schedule: Monday - Friday from 7:00AM - 4:00PM OR 8:00AM - 5:00PM CST, will include after hours and/or weekend work when needed
