Plumbing Inspector - Part Time - Columbus Area, OH

*25 hours/week*

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Plumbing Inspector to join our team of professionals. JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Perform field inspections during various stages of construction
• Read and examine plans and specifications when required
• Report violations and maintain files/records
• Perform other related duties as required

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

• Extensive knowledge of local building codes and current construction procedures/technology
• Interpretation of codes in the field and ability to provide code compliant solutions
• Must possess the ability to positively interact with other staff members, the general public, contractors, governmental entities, and other clientele
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good time management, organization, and attention to detail skills
• Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and a considerable amount of independent judgment

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Certification by the Ohio Board of Building Standards as a Plumbing Inspector
• Additional OH Certifications preferred
• Experience in municipal code inspections preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
